I came to a personal relationship with Christ on December 15, 1977.

I yielded to the call of full time ministry in September of 1979.

I entered Southeastern Bible College in January 1980. I did not borrow money or take out any loans, I trusted God for the call and the money. I graduated in May 1984 - debt free.

I was called to work in the urban community of Chicago’s Humboldt Park, in 1984. It was one of the most violent and crime-ridden neighborhoods in Chicago. I began a journey as a supported missionary status and continue that today after 20 years. I lived and worked in this community for six and a half years. During these years, I helped start one church and led hundreds of kids to Christ. After four years of working with Jr. High school kids, I was asked to manage one of three centers owned by this ministry. I was Center Manager for two years, before I resigned to move to Birmingham.

I moved to Birmingham to help plant The New City Church in downtown Birmingham, Alabama in December 1990.

I was nominated the Alumni of the year of Southeastern Bible College in 1999.

I have worked with Sonlife Ministries, an international ministry training organization, for 18 years. I have served as an associate staff member for 5 years, training other youth leaders in the United States.

I serve on The Servant Planning Team, which serves the City of Birmingham’s religious community.

Vice President of Southeastern Bible College’s Student Council 1981-1982 school year.

President of Southeastern Bible College’s Student Council 1982-1983 and 1983-1994.

I have served in the urban community for 24 years, 20 in full time ministry.
