At the age of 22, I left Alabama to finish my education in sunny Southern California. There, a year later, God united me with THE girl of His choosing. I mean, He had to take me across country to find her!! We have now been married for over 30 years, growing in our mutual love for God, and consequently, in our love for each other. We are perfectly matched. Does that mean we never disagree or experience conflicts? No! But it does mean we have the same goal – pursuing conformity to the image of Christ. That ultimately brings us into agreement, into sweet oneness every time.

Knowing the Lord and realizing that He has fit us into His master plan is an awesome realization – not that we have gained such status by any merit of our own. It is strictly by His grace and for His glory!!

That makes each day a new adventure. It is also comforting to know that God is never in a hurry. He is totally and uniquely in control – Sovereign! In a world increasingly devoid of peace, the stability we can experience in a relationship with Him is beyond description.
